Follow-up to my wheel poll...

Hiya...

For those who asked which rims i decided on...welp, here they are. Buddy Club P1 Racing II, 17x9.0, 45mm offset, gunmetallic. A ton lighter than my Racing Hart C2's...but then they are smaller too. Looks kinda like the LE37T or SSR Competitions but with a flatter surface (the previous two curves towards the rim).

Tires are en-route.

They rest in the garage when i go to autox/track with these. No trailer/hitch yet...dunno how to hack up the diffuser for the hitch.

Thx....Kumho Victoracer V700 255/40-17 on a truck heading westward as we speak. I dunno if the fronts will clear. Seems the AP Racing hats change the offset more towards the outside than stock.

I got them imported by Boom Plus Toys (the same ppl who distribute the Kakimoto exhausts in North Am <- shameless plug here). I paid CAD$3100 shipped.

I weighed them today...to my chagrin, they are NOT light at all. Bath room scale (me+rim)-me indicated each rim weighs 23lbs. I just did a UPS shipment using the same scale and got a 40lbs reading while UPS' shipping scale read 38.5lbs. So a 3.75% error would mean it can be as light as 22.1375 lbs each. Not so good considering my Racing Harts where 24lbs only.

O well, at least they look nice.

While i was there, they brought in some Advan rims for other customers. They had an Advan Model 7, IMO, not so hot. But they did have a bronze Kruezer Series V...very nice looking. Large open spokes and great finish. Cost about the same as mine too.

Notice he said CAD$3100. That's Canadian Bux, which are quite a bit cheaper than USD, otherwise known as US Dollars, or just plain $.
