fog lights without headlights possible?
1995 PEP package /fog lights that operate only when the headlights are on. I would like to use them as daytime running lamps. How can I rewire/bypass this setup so they work independently?

I've also wondered about this. I think it would be pretty easy, as long as the dash was already torn apart. Basically, it would be a matter of finding and getting access to two connectors. X-06 connects the interior harness to the front harness. It should be possible to cut the Fog light power wire which supposedly is R/Y and then splice it to any hot wire with suitable current. The best may be the R wire at connetor x-04 going into the light combination switch. This powers the flash to pass switch and is powered all the time.
That should enable the fog lights using the console switch at any time. The downside is that I believe you could leave your fogs on with the key removed and not get a warning chime. Another potential problem is I'm not sure if the fog light switch lights up any time the headlights are turned on, or if it only lights up when the switch is turned on. If so, I don't think the switch would light when the fogs are turned on unless the headlights were also turned on.
The problem isn't so much figuring out how to do it, but actually getting at all the wires. I'm too damn tall to stick my head under the dash and when I get there my arms are too long to fold up to touch anything. Even if I can touch it, I'm too old to be able to see anything just 4 inches from my nose.
