For FMIC users: Opinions on putting another fan
I'm using a HKS S-type FMIC and i'm getting water temp readings as high as 115C. I live in M'sia and i get a lot of intense sunlight and average temps are 34C. What do u guys think about putting a fan (connected to a toggle switch) in front of the condenser and rad and right behind the i/c to lower temps? Thanks in advance.
HOLY CR-P 115C is high. In what condition do you see this? even just regular driving on the freeway? I think there might be something else that is the root of your problem and not the fact that you have a FMIC. It shouldn't increase rad temps THAT much. Have you done the fan mod to keep the radiator fans on? The stock rad fans tend to be good enough.

115c? That is getting dangerously hot. Do you have A/C? Those bigger FMIC cores will hinder radiator flow and if you have a A/C condensor, even less flow. I had water problems and boiling over temps with the stock ecu and thats when I decided to ditch all of that and bought a Wolf EMS ecu....They control things Waaaaaaay better...
Since I got a stand alone ecu I'm able to run the filter in front of the radiator and my Wolf ecu reads intake temps around 5 -10 deg more than ambient and my water consistant @ 92-94 deg C.
If your not using water (as in bad water seal) buy a new radiator cap, start cheap. You may also have a bad water sending unit (via block)
