Please Please Give Advice on Greddy Replacement Pulleys and Blockoff Plates
Hi all,
I'm in the midst of doing a vacuum hose job on my car and it has become all too tempting to get rid of the ACV and air pump and correlated solenoids. It looks like I HAVE to do a pulley swap for a larger water pump pulley in order to get a belt to grip the wp pulley once the air pump is removed. I'm looking at getting the Greddy underdrive pulleys and Blockoff Plate Kit from the RX7 Store. Just wanted to solicit advice from anyone who's gone this way in the past---one of my main concerns is tricking the ECU once i remove all these damn solenoids into thinking they are still there...i'm concerned that connecting a resistor in line instead of the solenoid isn't gonna cut it---it looks like 330 Ohm resistors are supplied with the blockoff plate kit. anyway, please submit advice or experience in this matter if you can. Also, how hard is the pulley swap for alternator and water pump. Thanks much in advance.

The resistors will work fine. Im using them on my car with no problems.
Swapping the pullies takes about 15 minutes. Its very easy.
Im also carrying colored pullies in Red, Silver and Black if you dont want the typical Blue.

Thanks for the info Jason.
I was planning on calling you wednesday to order the above two items---unless you're open on tuesday? Did you have to use an impact wrench to loosen the pulleys? Also do you carry the a/c & p/s pump belt?
Thanks,
Nate

Another thread that I am reviving
I have the Spyfish blockoff kit. But it doesn't come with a block off plate for the hard air line coming off from the rear off the lowe intake manifold. Does anyone make this?
