Flywheel Questions
I don't usually start threads, but searching yeilded mixed results. So here goes:
Does Fidanza Make the Aluminum Flywheel for Racing Beat?
IF so, is it the same flywheel that Fidanza offers and sells?
Would there be any advantage to going with the ACT Pro-Lite over the Fidanza?
These two seem to be my best options right now.
And one other question:
Does anyone have the part number for the counterweight that I would need? I have a 1995 FD w/ 5 Speed (obviously)
And to confirm, a scattershield would only be neccessary if I am revving past the 8k mark with an aluminum flywheel? 10,500rpm with a steel flywheel?
I searched and found a ton of info, but these things didn't seem to get solid answers when compared between posts.
When it comes down to it, between the two flywheels, which would you recommend? Does one have a lower rotatioal mass due to the design? Which seems to be a better overall design?
The ACT Pro-Lite ro the Fidanza Aluminum?
Thanks!

Fidanza does make the flywheel for racing beat, but they are not exactly them same. The number of screws or rivets that holds down the friction surface are different, I don't know any other differences.
If there are any differences between the Act or Fidanza, you won't notice them when driving. If you are buying a new one I say go for the pro, because its cheaper. If you are buying used ones I would get the Fidanza ones, so you can replace the friction surface, and the flywheel is basicly same as new. Getting the Pro machined would make it lighter(might not be good). Personally, I bought a used Fidanza ones(seller told me it was a racing beat), and replaced the friction surface. If you decided to buy a used fidanza, I can sell you an extra brand new friction surface with screws for cheap.
