flywheel question
Hey, have a question about my Centerforce aluminum flywheel... The friction surface was thrashed so I sent it back to Centerforce to have a new friction disc riveted back on. I just received it today and they milled the friction surface flush with the out side aluminum part where the pressure plate mounts. I guess they thought it was suppose to be flush and didn't realize it is suppose to be stepped.
My question is should I send it back to have it redone, or is the step such a small amount that I can say take material off the base of the pressure plate... also does anyone know the specs on the height of the step? Im not looking for a band aid fix that will shorten the life of the clutch or flywheel, so any advise is GREATLY appreciated!

also.. Centerforce says in they're specification books that they have it calls for a flat, non step surface, and that regardless they usually mill all their flywheel flat.
