If you have a manual transmission there is currently no counter balance on your flywheel. Whenever you go to a lighter flywheel most company's require you to install a counter weight that normally comes an automatic FD flywheel/flexplate. You can simply pick up the screws from the mazda dealer just request the screws for the counterbalance weight of an auto. FD and you should be ok. If your doing the clutch yourself make sure you check the clutch fork for cracks since they tend to break. You would hate to put everything back together to realize you have to go back in to replace the fork.

Your original flywheel actually has the counterweight built into the flywheel (manual transmission). You need that counter weight. If you get an aftermarket flywheel, you still need to use a counter weight. Due to the fact that the aftermarket flywheel doesn't have that counter weight built into it.

Please double check my facts. I believe that there are two counter weights one at the front of your shaft and one at the rear (by the flywheel or in the flywheel as on the OEM).
