Ramy (a.k.a. FDNewbie) can get stuff from Japan. He can probably get these keys also. As for the black Flying M key, it may be the same key as the protege and other Mazda cars.

It was a pleasure guys.....

The Spirit R key was discontinued so if you find them and want them, better buy them all up.

I still sell some parts to wholesalers since I have a little time, just no time for the general public.

I got the one from ebay, the guy ships it from taiwan.

Home Depot cut it for me. It opens the doors, but will not turn the ignition. Perhaps he did not cut it right, or did not put the key in far enough. Just FYI. At least I have a spare key to open the door if my g. friend locks my keys in the car!

On the lock of the passenger door you can get a key code for your car, give it to a lock smith and he'll cut you a perfect 100% new key with it. Instead of the warn out pattern on your old key.

Force, I tried to do that. Got the code from Mazda...went to the locksmith, and he totally messed up the key!

If you do it that way, have him take a blank key as a test first.

Haha..that's funny. Test key. yah, sadly, we have doubts in locksmith. i still have an eFini key yet to be cut...I'll let him cut a practice key first.

Yeah i took the whole lock in with me and he tryed it on the 3$ blank first then cut my key for me. My old key wouldn't unlock my passenger door it was so worn down.

Wow...my name's all over this thread, and I just saw it now haha.

Anyway, thought I'd give you guys a head's up at the "Flying M" keys are still available (for the time being, given that Mazda Japan's discontinuing FD parts right and left at an alarming rate), so I'm running a GB on 'em here: https://www.rx7club.com/fdnewbie-imports-172/gb-closed-fd3s-oem-flying-m-key-efini-key-725175/

Sorry, Spirit-R keys have LONG since been discontinued (although I can prob make a few if someone would be kind enough to donate/let me borrow one)

Thanks!

i just dont understand the significance of a specially designed or "limited edition" key?? it does not serve any special purpose. are you goona go up to one of your racer friends and say "o, you have 400whp...well i have this special key. eat it!" it may be something special to you, but it just doesnt work for me

hey, if you cant afford performance parts for your fd, and a special designed key is the best you can do...then hell, good for you
