Fluidyne leaks at drain petcock

Finally got the used engine into the car. Started right up except that I see drops and drops of coolant on the floor. At $42 per gallon for the Evans NPG, that didn't seem right. Coolant is leaking out of the drain petcock. Which looks rusted. Of all the components on the Fluidyne, they had to put a POS petcock.

Any one ever dealt with this? I have had the Fluidyne for over 10 years.

As I recall, the drain valve is brass. It doesn't rust.

Anything (especially on this car) can be defective or wear out. Drain the coolant into a clean container so you can reuse it, then replace the entire plug. Not that big of a deal.
