Flooding issue hopefully nothing more

I live up in Portland and from what I hear you are the diagnosis champion. I bought the car as a basket case so I knew what I was getting into, or so I thought. Car appears to be pretty stock. compression tested out at 87 and 89 psi on leading plugs should i retest on bith the trailing and leading rotors?

my problem the thing floods as soon as you turn the key, haven't found out how to test the fuel pressure reg. or the fuel pulse. and not leaking any fuel. plugs are soaked but after cleaning get spark. with plugs out turn over engine and get clouds of misted fuel. I really don't know were to go next.

Things I know previous owner did, misroute vac lines, use rtv on everything including interal parts of turbos, replacer ecu w/ junkyard. routed plug wires wrong i am sure other things just haven't tracked them down yet

things i have done, rebuilt turbos, re-route vac lines. ohm out some resistors, have spark new wires and plugs new gaskets for the intake and exhaust.

What would you recommened be tested next? Any and all help is sincerly appreciated.

of you know what you are doing pull the injectors to see if they are sitting closed... also get them flow tested.... if they are stuck open that would account for that.

The correct method to compression test is to remove the trailing plugs, leave the leading ones where they are, hold throttle to the floor and crank over.

Make sure you have a strong battery.Do not forget to disable the ignition.

If you test via the leadings you will get a lower reading as the engine rotates anti- clockwise and is still building compression past this point.

If everything else is ok, then you will need to tow start your car to build up the compression. If this doesn't do it you have other problems.

Check the many other posts on this.
ECU should cut off fuel if you keep the accelerator floored during cranking; car should de-flood but may not fire. Alternate cranking with accelerator up and down, and go mid-range and keep cranking if it starts chugging.

The problem could be caused by many different things; the injectors are pricey. If you can get it running, try Techron first to unstick the injectors. If that doesn't work, try the various $3000 routes.
