Fixing HKS Twin Power. Question.

So I bought my twin power used and when it came to me it the casing on the white wire was cracked right where it enters the aluminum shell of the Twin Power. I recently decided to re-wrap my main harness so I couldn't let the broken case on the twin power go unfixed. I took the cover off the Twin Power and for those of you that don't know, these things have their electronics built and then the circuitry is covered in a silicon to seal it from elements which also seals the case. Pretty interesting I must say.

So my question here is what type of silicon should I use to fill in the area I had to cut out to fix the wire and seal the case? Is there a real difference in silicons, because I have stuff all over from my father's house projects like sealing window flashing and stuff but I don't know if that would be applicable to put near circuitry.

Here are pictures of the Twin Power opened up for those that never saw the interior of one.

Silicon from window flashing is fine, though epoxy compound would be better.

ok, I know i have some of that silicon laying around. I also have JB Weld and other epoxys around if those would be better. I just thought silicon would be the best choice since there is already silicon in there.

I'm sure JB weld contains steel so I wouldn't use that as it would short out on the case. See if a magnet is attracted to one of the JB weld tubes.

Permatex black silicon for gaskets would be the closest thing, i'm pretty sure that entire case is filled with silicon, i highly doubt you can cut down a ways without doing more harm.

Best bet to repair this would be to carefully remove some of the insulation around the damaged area. Then solder the damaged area, double heat shrink it for protection and it'll be good to go.
