Fixed it! Was 6psi now 12psi!

Finally got to fix my boost problem. I couldn't figure out where my boost leak was coming from until I got a few helpful tips from this forum. I was told that it's common to leak from the lower y-pipe coupling. Couldn't tell from looking at it so I had to take it apart. Once that was done, I saw a 2 and a half inch tear in the coupling right where the band clamp was. I replaced it and took the car out for a drive. Once on the highway I gunned it in 2nd and the car just took off scaring the **** out of me. Once I saw the needle hit 12psi , I let up off of the pedal. I was scared I might blow something. Is it safe at 12? The only mods on the car is an HKS intake, HKS exhaust, and an HKS bov. Guess it's time for a boost controller. Thanks to all that helped.

get one, put it at 10 unless you want to buy an ecu. I do have a PFS ECU for sale if you need one.

Congrats, but you should be careful. Though 12psi isn't anything extreme, going over could've been the first and last time you did that. I'd put some measures into place at this point to restrict boost.
