Fishy Block-off plate GB?
Can anyone get in contact with Spyfish007 aka C. Fischer? Need to know what's the delay on the block-off plate and resistor kit. I'm sure there are others out there with the same concerns. Give us a reasonable excuse, like "it's taking a while to make them or personal problem at the moment", or at least respond to posts, pm, and e-mail.
Or as pluto put it:
Don't pull a Cheatham.:p
Or as pluto put it:
Carson took the money and ran to Mexico!!

How much was this kit? Doesn't make sense to pay for it at all. Why not make it yourself? Trace the EGR hole pattern onto a 1/8" rectangle of steel or aluminum and drill them through. Then use some gasket maker or cut a gasket out yourself. The resistor is a funny thing. I have mentioned this before in earlier post that the resistor is not a sure fix.
Cali model 7s have this PITA EGR sensor (A.K.A a switch) that is either on or off and no in between.
Somehow the switch makes contact with the contacts but fails to make conductivity (A quick Ohm test will tell you this, and opening up the unit will even give you a better idea). Totally heat related
I rigged up a vacuum switch to get around this problem that I Teed into under the upper intake manifold. I wired the stock EGR harness to it so that I could use the ECU side harness. (just in case the next owner wants to do some numbskull thing like put it back on.)
This switch seems a lot more valuable than that stinking resistor to me. Not because it was my method, but because it works. Any takers? Do I see a group buy?

I suggest a man hunt to be organized. Who's got the hounds? Come on, someone has to know what Carson is up to. Anyone want to give him a call on the behalf of GB participants, and relay the message to us?

make that tomorrow
If you do not receive the promised goods when using PayPal to make a purchase, take the following steps:
1.Attempt to contact the seller. Many disputes occur over simple misunderstandings and can be resolved through open communication.
(Failure to communicate)
2.If you are unable to resolve the situation this way, you may immediately initiate an investigation by filing a Buyer Complaint Form. This report must be filed within 30 days of the payment. PayPal will investigate your complaint and attempt to recover any funds you are owed. You will be entitled to the return of any funds PayPal is able to collect on your behalf. However, fund recovery is not guaranteed. We will make every effort to complete our investigation and any reimbursement within 30 days of the date the Buyer Complaint Form is filed.

Yep, I emailed him twice and no response.
On the track eh? Maybe with some new found parts?
I have given the benefit of doubt but since he is apparently NOT in the hospital, unconscious, I will also file suit on PayPal.
Anyone who was purchased this from him, please post here for a head count.

He doesnt live in TN anymore. He just moved to Tx a month or so ago. I live in Birmingham, Al and he stopped by to see me on his way. He seemed on the up and up, I cant imagine he that would do something like this.
I havent ever bought anything from him but have talked to him a lot, he helped me pick out and install the stereo system in my 7 via email and IM. From my dealings (which didnt include $) he seems pretty trust worthy.
I hope something bad hasent happened to him!!
Later and good luck,

Well I hope he's ok. If he's unconscious I forgive him .
Maybe he is working day and night to make those plates himself, all with an old rusty hacksaw and a nail file.

OK i talked to Carson today on the phone and he said the CNC guy he had previously had turned into a BIG FLAke and never produced the plates, but earlier last week he found another shop to produce the exact same product. The expected finish time is to be late this week the 6 or 7 of Sept. He said he apologizes for the delay and not to take his first born yet, the plates will be done by the above dates. Also he has moved back to good old TN and is currently without access his computer.
hope this helps with the missing spyfish mystery

Yellow Dragon is no more
I'm back . . . .
Hey everyone . . . . I know I have pissed some of you off with the BIG HUGE RIDICULOUS delay in getting everyone the plates but I have been screwed over too. I basically had to get everything back my CNC guy who was giving me a deal, etc, etc and I just went to another local shop to get it done. I am back in TN and the place is really about 15 minutes from my house. I walked in the front door just like a normal customer so that is how I am getting treated. I am going to bump everyone's shipping up to 2nd day USPS. I will have them no later than Monday morning. They start cutting tomorrow morning. I only takes like a day to cut and that is been the entire problem. My old CNC guy told me a day or two to cut and he would have them within two weeks and that was the reason I took your money then because I figured I would have the parts and money and the same time. If I had known I would have never taken your money in advance. Regardless I am sorry. I will post a list later tonight of everyone who is getting a kit shipped to them. I want to be sure I don't leave anyone out. I have moved to TX and back so I want to be sure I didn't lose anything.
