Ok I want to get: (INTAKE/Downpipe/exhaust) I want an exhaust that is not to loud but not restrictive and bolts up with ease, I want a downpipe that bolts right up and has good quality, and I want an intake that is worth 200-400 dollars of my money!! Any suggestions regarding (ease of installation,purchasing,etc) would be appreciated. I have done a lot of research about this but I just want to know what is good and what is crap from people's personal experiences! Thank you!

 

Have you done the reliability mods? If not, you should do them before thinking about performance.

when you talk about AST and vacuum lines, do you mean replace them? If so how much would that be, and is it hard? And I will be purchasing intake/downpipe/exhaust/PowerFC all at the same time!! I also heard that racing beat wasnt all that good "I heard" I dont know this for a fact!! What about an INVIDA EXHAUST?

A few months ago I would have agreed with this because it is similar to what I did. But now my car is fast but undriveable because I didn't do reliability mods. If money isn't too much of a factor go ahead and get the parts Goodfella mentioned, but if your like me you should really start by replacing hoses, vac lines, ast, and just in general make sure everything on the car is running well esspecially the cooling system.

buy the mods as you can afford them, but the powerFC needs to be tuned by someone who knows what they are doing.
i have the racing beat dual tip. it may not be the best for HP, but it looks and sounds great. you need to choose one that good for your needs. loud, ugly but high HP or looks,sound less HP.

 

Boost gauge.

Not really a mod but helps baseline and diagnose the car.

I would like to try mod stock air box for intake as well~
But correct me if I am wrong, wouldn't the boost increase with the modded airbox? So a Boost Controller and Boost Gauge should be your first mod b4 modding the intake & exhaust.

i agree completely, BUT, make sure you've done all the reliablility mods first (radiator, ast, etc.). it sucks to have to spend money on things that don't add "go-fast" to your car, but it sucks a whole lot more when you've spent all your money and the car won't go at all.

Ok so after reading a few other things by you guys and other people, I have decided that I will replace my Vac lines with better ones (silicone), and get an aluminum AST, Then do my mods [ntake (apexi), Exhaust (Invida), Downpipe (HKS), Power Fc +commander (SRMOTORSPORTS)] Tuning is very important when it comes to this car[U]!!! Tell me what you guys think about my order and if you have any suggestions feel free to tell me! I love criticism! I figure it will be about 400-600$ for reliability mods!

 

stock radiator should be fine...I live in Texas. The 7 have stock radiator...cooling temp never go past 95*C in summer month with full blasted AC.

But if your radiator is in bad shape then yes have it replaced.

IMO your best mod would be to sit back, search, and search....

 

I was assuming that this was a car that had already had all the maintenance performed. If it hasn't been done already---do spark plugs, wires, fuel filter, fluid flush coolant/tranny/oil/diff.

about my duct, the stock is in place. i have not spent the money on a better fitting one becouse i'm planning on upgrading the intercooler when i find a good deal on a peter farrell intercooler. thanks for asking
