Boost gauge, water temp gauge, downpipe.

Maintenance items: all new coolant hoses, vacuum hoses, FPD, fuel filter, change fluids, AST. Maybe a PFC and cat-back.

Then drive it for one year to sort out any potential bugs, then begin to mod.

Well I'm selling my car and buying a roller FD and making it a project with my dad. So I haven't done anything to it yet, and I have about 5k to spend after buying a rebuilt engine, so just seeing what mods I should look at...

If by a 'roller' you mean a complete car with just a blown engine, ok.

If by a roller you mean a car without an engine and maybe missing other stuff, not so ok. Plan to use that $5k for everything else that's missing from the roller. It's not often you find a car without an engine that is complete in every other way, and "project" FDs can end up being really expensive or involve a lot more fixup than you'd think.

Most of everything huh. You might as well take it to a shop so they can sort things out for you. Cause if you havent put one together before its goin to be a complete nightmare. After they put it back together then mod after the break-in.

Rockland,

Start with what you want to do with the car. Are you just building a car for the street? AutoX? Drag racing? Road racing?
