Finnally !!! My 100% JDM 94´FD3S

Guys,

Some pics of my new arrived 100% JDM FD3S RX7.

Right now is on the shop for steering exchange (RHD to LHD).

After that, basic ,maintenance, painting, and OF COURSE... Change the Steering Wheel.

Any comment is welcome.

Thanks..!!!

Nice...glad it didnt show up only 50% JDM, cuz that would have sucked!!!!

Why didnt u just try to find a USDM model that was already LHD?

Car looks clean, congrats on the purchase.

Welcome to the Jdm club. Are you really from Santiago? It's a beautiul city I lived there for 2 months in November for work, I Lived in Los condes. I didn't see a single rx7 the whole time I was there though

Not trying to be rude, but why didn't you buy a USDM fd?

Welcome to the community!

How long does the shop take to complete this steering conversion?

I actually live in Santiago, in Providencia, right next to Las Condes.

Reason for a JDM is PRICING.

USDM US$24.000 (94´ probably arround 90.000 Miles)
JDM US$ 6.000 (That´s what I paid, 60.000 Miles, upgraded & Type R)
LHD Conversion US$1500

By the way, not anyone can get a used JDM in the street, you can only under very specific rules, I accomplished them and got the car.

But under any circumstance you can drive it RHD.

That´s it. All about pricing.

This is how it came from japan.

Upgraded Intercooler
Upgraded Intake
Racing Suspension (fully adjustable)
Upgraded Exhaust
Upgraded Ignition
RE-A Boost Gauge
17" wheels

And who knows what else, I´ll found out when I have it at home.

And from what I´ve read here, hopefully a Tuned Ecu...!!!

I would love to..!!!! But I can´t....

In order to get the license plate (or driving permission) you MUST go through a tech inspection 10 days after you got the car, 10 days at the top. And I bought it 4 days ago, I can´t get everyting in 6 days..!!!

Anyway am looking for FD Black interior:

Black Dash (complete)
Black center console w/base
Black door covers (Complete w /handle & switches)

Any tip is welcome....

Thanks..!!!

The only reason to have a JDM RX is for the RHD. you should've just imported a USDM and not ruin a perfectly fine JDM. What a waste.

grats on the purchase! im not fan of buying a car that i cant actually inspect, but the cost saving you mentioned is enormous and it's worth to take the risk of having some rust to clean up.

Did you get it through auction or dealer?

Dealer got it from an auction, but I had it from dealer.

BTW this project is getting a bit complicated in the Interior Dash side, so I´ll have to start getting interior parts before that I thought.

So anyone trying to sell complete Interior or Interior components from the front Dash /Trim / panels... I´ll take it..!!

For a 1994 FD.

Thanks..!!!

I don't know if you are planning to do a LHD conversion, but I think that is a pretty low estimate.

I would be impressed if you converted the car to LHD for less than $3000(at a shop anyways).

Even doing it yourself $1500 might be a stretch with shipping etc.
