Actually one HUGE difference, my catch can is vented to the atmosphere. All that has to be done is that the crankcase needs to be vented. The reason cars have PCV valves and it vents back into the engine is for emissions. It was designed to re-burn gasses that are pushed into the crankcase, and not let then escape to the atmosphere, thus lowering bad things being emitted from the car. Do a search and you will find that I have MY catch can hooked up correctly.
you can run it like what you've done
or you could us a vac source (not as messy as the filter method). The filter will get clogged up with oil. After about 10,000 miles mine was nasty.

Where did you get your intake manifold polished at? How much was it? I live in the Chicago area and I would like to get my intake manifold and some other misc peices polished.
