Finished non-seq and only 1psi to redline

I just finished my non-seq conversion and only 1psi to redline. I did every thing like the "rikky" site and other sites. I also took the metal bird's nest out. I've had boost problems before, but i thought they would be gone after the conversion.

I would like to thank ejmack for all his help yesterday

Maybe you have kentucky fried turbos like I did. What kind of play do you have in your turbos? Have you checked to see that they spin well/easily?

Maybe you hooked up the CRV and ABV (blow off valves) wrong, they are suppost to both be on the vacuum nipple comming from the upper intake manifold. Do you actually hear the woosh like you would with a boost leak? What RPM range do you see the 1psi at and what are your mods?

You only hear the wooshing when you let off the throttle? If you are hearing something similar to that (maybe not as distinct) when accelerating then it is leaking. If the door was closed then you should get some off the primary unless something isnt right with the wastegate. You wired open the Turbo Pre-Control... the longer of the 2 actuators right?

Everything is wired correct;y... there is no boost leak, the ABV and CRV are hoooke up properly... Could a bad Wastgate actuator cause this?

What ECU does he have?

There has to be more than one thing wrong... even if the wastegate wasnt opening he would see boost later like 5-6k. Did you pull off and plug all the hoses on the Charge Control Actuator? (the little one on the Y-pipe)

I bet you have a boost leak. There is a description of how to find one here. Try it out https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...threadid=98645

I remember I had a boost leak but didn't know where it was comming from... I looked at all the couplings and nothing in sight. After scratching my head for a little I actually pulled off the couplings to inspect in my hand and only then could I see the 2" gash in one. Just saying sometimes it takes some work to find one insted of just looking.

My mods are not many, I have a HKS downpipe and K&N's. I found a small leak and now get 2 psi.

I dont know how the Stock ECU will handle after the non-seq.... I haven't seen anyone running that setup, not saying it cant be done. I dont know what tips I can give you.

he sure did, After all of that work my car was running good but not great (fell on it's face at 8psi on top end) so I replaced the pulgs and wires (wires were original and plugs had 40k on them) now I have much more low end tork and I gained 2 psi PLUS it pull to redline. I'm so happy.

I'm going for a cruise.

BTW- I have a oil leak at my front engine cover to tackel next
