Finding a fuel leak

Hey everyone-
I've got a fuel leak that I can only smell when the car's stationary, like at a stoplight- there aren't any puddles of fuel under the car, however, and I can't pinpoint the smell. I raised the car, pulled the upper IM, and jumpered the fuel pump connector, but no luck.

There's no leak around the filter or near the gas tank, and I can't see any leaks around the primary or secondary fuel distributor assemblies, and the pulsation dampener is dry. I let the pump run for a few minutes, but I couldn't see any leaks and I didn't smell fuel either.

Could I have a leak that only happens when the car is hot? What else can I check while I've got it up and apart?

Thanks!

Two possibilities: check the return line to the charcoal canister (it is one of the hard pipes beneath the intake elbow). If the rubber hose came off, it will emit a gas smell without generating any wetness. Also, your charcoal canister could be wet with fuel, meaning it needs to be replaced. (The stock location of the charcoal canister is above the left rear axle).

No joy.

Thanks for the tips- I checked the charcoal canister, but no luck. I don't see any leaks, and I don't smell gas at all either. I can't find any leaks with the car jacked up and the fuel pump running.

I guess I'll put it all back together, drive it for awhile and run it up on ramps after it's good and warmed up. Hopefully I can narrow it down then. Maybe I'll throw a match at it and see what catches fire.

Okay, I'm not that desperate yet.

Upgrades to this car are pretty mild, mostly reliability mods- Pettit AST, Fluidyne radiator, n-tech downpipe, boost gauge & water temp gauge, a few others. The fuel system is totally stock.
