Thumbs up finally passed emissions

After 10 times through the e station I finally passed. My numbers were horrible before. I checked my air pump and it was blowing alot of air but it was just trickling out to the cat. I had an idea to bypass the air control valve and just run a big hose stepping down in size to my cat. That air pump moves alot of air I had no trace of co i am talking .000 out of an alotted 1.2. If anyone is having problem with emissions try it I searched everywhere on this forum for ideas the best thing i found was alcohol in the gas tank and there was really no straight answer for how much to put in.

I just passed mine in Illinois after 3 failures.

New high flow cat from Gotham racing.com and 3" downpipe installed with 1 gallon of alcohol in 1/2 tank of gas.

Awesome, I have been thinking about doing this for quite sometime. I am glad you reminded me about it. The testers didnt think anyhing was unusual, like maybe their equipment was broke when you posted such low numbers

I hear that the RX is notorious for failing miserably. Every emission test I've taken has been like FDEENUTZ described. I have just regular old 92 in the tank. Is that an indication that my car is running lean? I don't mind the clean emission tests, but am afraid that something is wrong with my car.

There is a small pizza shaped check valve in the ACV that may have been the restriction.
