Finally got my m2 dual tip! but can someone verify?

I was pretty damn excited when my M2 dual tip exhaust arrived last Friday, but when I opened it, I saw the words "hitech mufflers" on it. It was engraved at the edge of the muffler, where the tips come out of. I attached a picture. Then on the hitech website I found this:

http://www.hitechmufflers.com.au/mazda.html

which is what the exhaust looks like. So my question to all the M2 dual owners: is that just a muffler M2 uses or was I shipped the wrong thing? I'll call on Monday but wanted to find out beforehand if any owners could verify the engraving.

Thanks,
Brian

Just to let you know, I don't have one.

But, hitech mufflers could very well be who M2 sources there muffler from. This doesn't mean that you got shafted by any means, it just means that you found out who there supplier is.

Call them on monday and ask them about it, tell them that you just found it curious that there name wasn't on the muffler.

why not just compare the entire look of the cat back to one you know is a M2 from someone else's pics?

If they look identical that most likely means you found out M2's supplier.

I installed an M2 muffler last year for a friend and it had the same "high tech muffler" badging. Good work finding the source, now we need to see how much less they charge and how much faster service they can provide than M2.

Yep. That's an M2 alright. Hitech makes it for them.

I picked up my exhaust direct from M2 a couple weeks ago and mine has the engraving as well. Also, I was told by Greg (one of the guys that works there) that he gets them from Australia, so put 2 and 2 together and...

how loud is the m2 dual? is it comparable to the rb dual? i know the rb dual is probablly the quietest exhaust you can get but i like the look of the m2. post sound clips if you can.

Mine is older and has no markings either. The tips are not angled so severely as well. When originally installing mine it was a little close to one side (don't remember which) but I swapped the spacers on the hangers and it's been fine for years.

Have you guys tried contacting the supplier? Who knows, it might be cheaper and less of a wait than to deal with M2...

I'm interested in picking one up...I think I'm gonna search for some sound clips...unless someone can point me in the right direction?

It's not loud at all. At idle, it sounds almost exactly like the Racing Beat duals, but is just a touch more deeper.
