finally get to drive my fd....

I finally get to drive my FD around after 6-8 months of downtime... gotta love full time school, girlfriend and work, lucky i picked up an FB, love how it only takes 30 dollars or so to fill it up vs my 60 dollar FD....
LIM gasket was leaking ...
ended up getting a downpipe (thx richard) in and coated it
the updated y-pipe (thx martin)
saxyman990's solenoid kit put in (thanks rob)
Ray for selling me $500+ worth of gaskets, nuts, fuel kit, belts, coolant kit, spark plug, spark wires, the list goes on, funny how he remembers me now >_>
silicone vacuum lines (it's actually not that bad after u remove the alternator, and use a lot of pb blaster)
cleaned my fuel injectors
put on a stock cat..(thanks chris, hope the baby is doing good) previous owner had some unknown brand cat welded to the stock pipes...
relay egr trick.

idles a lot better then b4! and pulls a lot harder then my FB!!!!

now the bad...

acv is leaking, making horrible noises.... i changed the "wagonwheel" 3 times, each time with a new wheel, and the gasket 3 times and still makes noises.... followed a previous thread to fix it, but it just won't go away..... any suggestion ?

Is the engine bay supposed to be this hot? i drive it around for 15 mins i can't even touch the plastic elbow cuz it gets too hot.....

brake rotors covered in rust from sitting so long... should i get them turned?

used to spike to 12-13psi with old style y-pipe and 2 cheap welded cats and
now it spikes 13-14 with stock cat, updated y-pipe and downpipe?

My girlfriend sat in it today and could feel the boost kick in everytime and she said it was nerve racking. Then i pointed out it can go even faster ^_^ and it sure did and now she wants me to drive my FB T_T

Any suggestions for my problem guys?
Thanks for spending an hr reading it

1) the 13-14psi boost spikes are scary. Install a boost controller and don't drive it hard until you have that boost firmly down at 10psi. Assuming you're on stock ecu, you're > < this close to blowing your engine.

2) brake rotors are fine getting rusty. Mine do all the time. It'll clean off at the first stop.

3) dunno about your ACV - have you cleaned the internals? I suggest just replacing it since they're so cheap.

The engine bay heat is (unfortunately) normal for a near stock car with the oem twin turbos.

With my single setup, deleted a/c and p/s, and everything ceramic coated, along with a heat blanket over the turbines housing, my engine bay is much cooler than it used to be......
