FINALLY - Full, updated TSB list with FULL descriptions

OK, this is called "things to do while the forum isn't working so hot"

I bet you're like me - mad that there's no full list of ALL the TSB's up to the current date with what each one is.

I just got done doing a TON of typing . I summarized all the TSB's that are out there for the FD - doing a copy/paste would have been a little iffy copyright-wise, so I rewrote/summarized .

The majority of the TSB's are relatively useless. There's lots that are just dealer notifications, change in special tools, etc. But, there's a lot of good stuff. When needed, I got the Mazda diagram or picture of what's being discussed in the TSB.

This is one of those things that should have been done a LONG time ago. The ancient TSB list that's on some of the reference site doesn't cut it any more .

Anyhow, enough about it - go get the PDF for yourself. If you see any areas that are vague, or TSB's that need more detail or are worded funny, let me know and I'll fix and revise the document.

Enjoy!

Cripes, you must've had some time on your hands...

Great work, thanx for providing yet another good resource on this forum.

I'd imagine this will become a sticky at some time in the future...

For the recalls, can I just go to a dealer and mention the recalls for my car and they'll fix it with no charge? I know tires they just take them back and replace it lol. Or will I have to pay or fix it myself to get these recalls fixed?

The 3 recalls have most likely been done - pretty much every FD I've seen has had all the recalls done. Call your dealer up with your VIN number, and they can tell you if any of the recalls have not been done.

If not, the dealer will do the recall for FREE.

Mind you, the TSB's are just notices to the dealer. ONLY the recalls (fuel line, cooling system, brake booster line) can be done for free.

When I got my car, I found out that the previous owner did not do any of the recalls. Then the car died, and I didn't do them, either. If I ever get the thing on the road again, they will be done.

THANK YOU for the post. That was a devil of alot of work!
I hope this becomes a STICKY!

Quickie update -

I added more text on the cooling fan recall, so it's clearly outlined. Also, I had typo'd "compiled" at the very top of it - somewhat embarrassing .

Enjoy,
Dale
