What was your best time on stock ports? (Wondering if 11.5 is possible on stock ports, stock twins?)

>>You should find out if Atco has an altitude correction factor and use that time instead since it's only fair to you. Just curious what was the ambient air temp btw?<<

Atco is a NHRA approved track just like Etown......so I assume both follow same guidelines to maintain accurate results. Atco is very close to sea level though.
Temps were ~50F.

>>"First half of the strip determines your ET, second half determines your mph."<<
So true......mainly with turbo cars. Heard it many times!!

Reason(s) for low 1/4 mile traps:
-Boost is dropping at higher rpm.
-Simply not making the power to push 26 ET streets with 4.10 gears thru the 1/4 at peak hp rpm.
I cross the 1/4 on ET streets ~ 6400rpm....maybe 6.7-6.8krpm on Nittos.

Looking at my 1/8th...it ran 6.986 @ 98.38mph....had the car kept that same pace it would have run a solid 10.9 @ 124 mph at least.......
Simply said....I put down more average hp up to 1/8th then I do after the 1/8th.

Car ran 10's thanks to that awesome 60'ft.......or else it would have been another 11.0x

May order 4.30 gears and drop them in to prove my point.........and go faster too

Either way....10.98 @ 121.68 or 11.08 @ 125 is over 400rwh on the twins no matter how you slice it !!!!!!

REALLY !!!
Must be the extra oxygen from all the trees !!!!
Then I should have run faster then......

Those PRO-STOCK/ PRO-IMPORT guys must love ATCO then....
funny how their record passes were all @ Etown.

Now if you had said that about Island I would probably believe you.....

My car always had good traction @ Atco though.

LMAO... Atco is definately not .2 faster... we all race at E-Town and Atco quite alot... and just for a comparison fact.

Another of our friends Allmotor honda's ran at atco the same yesterday also..

His last time he ran was Englisthown 2 weeks ago..
He ran
12.030 @ 112, 12.043 @ 112, 12.096 @ 112

Yesterday he ran
12.025 @ 111, 12.048 @ 111mph, 12.074 @ 110mph, 12.09 @ 111mph

So yea i'd have to say they run the same e/ts...
All of our other cars that we race are all have quicker times run at E-Town then Atco...

The only thing Atco does on a more consistant basis is hook better, E-Town is hit or miss, Atco always hooks and I think thats why people tend to make that assumption. Because they race e-town once in a blue moon, and happen to get it on a night it's not hooking

Congradulations man. Those are some good numbers. I am interested to see how long the twins last though. Try to keep us posted. maybe spray it and get low 10's on stock twins.
