Filter platform decrease air intake/flow??
There is a piece of squared steel (a platform) that is positioned/bolted directly below my Blitz filters. The filters basically rest on this platform. I've unbolted this platform before and by doing so, it exposes the radiator hose and also "opens" the area completely all the way down to the pavement. Not sure what purpose the platform serves. Probably part of the stock air box??
Q.) Will removing the platform create a better, less restrictive air flow to the filters??

The bracket came with the intake and is not part of the stock air box, I take it you didn't install the intake? It is just a support bracket and in no way diminish the air flow.

Actually, my recommendation would be if you are creative and are somewhat good at fabricating.. take the bracket out and fabricat a angled duct of sort that pulls what little cold air that flows under the car to force air up there.. The intake gets a lot of hot air from the engine and radiator.. all the intakes you buy are like that.. build a duct to the front of the car or down there to get some colder air up there..

I actually have an "air duct system" already fabricated, but the air flow hose (3" diameter) is too large to run between the OEM radiator hose. I'll check to see if I can run the flow hose from the driver side of the FD. Thanks for your input.

Hi there my fd came with the same intake
Ppl will telll u all kind of different story
But the purpose thAt square metal sheet serves is that it blocks the heat n hot air coming from the radiator
If u really wana get a flow of cold air
Add a ksp headlight duct
No mods required and it does really provide the intake with cold air ur car neeeds
Dont remove the metal
Sheet its their to serve a purpose
