filler neck or thermostat housing?

Ok, I have done some searching on this and here is what I have learned. My water temp sensor is tapped into the throttle body coolant line. The only bad things I have found regarding this location, is that the readings can be delayed at idle, and that the hose itself may be really hot increasing the reading temperature reading.
So if I move it up front, what is the best place. I would rather not tap into the water pump housing or into the thermostat housing. There are the hex screw locations on the filler neck, what about those?

thanks

Hmm.. I'm interested in this question also..

I think I have seen people put on that hex nut near the filler neck.. but not sure if that's the best place.. or good enough place..

please someone more experienced in this post..

i am thinking of either doing what max cooper did, and stick it where the stock sensor is under the oil filler neck, or maybe where the hex bolt is on the left side of the filler neck.
