From: Negative Ghost Rider, the pattern is full.
Nice car, man, very nice car. I don't normally go for "chameleon" paint, but I like the purple/blue shift of yours. There's a nasty orange/blue Mustang that I see around here all the time, and it looks like an oil slick to me. Gross.

BTW, who is that guy in your avatar?

Thumbs up

Your car looks great. You got any under hood shots? Also, are you staying with the stock rims, or are you upgrading wheels? If so, which wheels are you getting?

Nice job

Nice s4 E...

You sold your WRX?

Tho, replacing with an s4 isn't exactly a tough choice Those are really slick cars.

Nice job
Thanks. Didn't pop the hood this time. Next round...

My plan at this point is to snag some SSR Competitions for street use and hope they hold up (the ones on the Audi seem to be fine thus far). After all, for the price of Kinesis or Fikse wheels (which I'd prefer for appearance) I can bend two of them, buy new ones, and still be ahead.

OTOH, if anyone knows where I can find a set of Kinesis K18s for a good deal...hit me back.

Yep. I sold it while I was still ahead on it. It's hard to pass up an S4 under warranty with only 15K miles on it for 75% of the original cost.

You gonna be at Tech Ridge on Sunday?

No flames man. No biggie.

In my particular case, the 7 is by far the faster car. S4s come stock with 250hp. They also come with 3700 lbs. They run 0-60 time almost identical to that of a Subaru WRX.

Now...a properly chipped S4 is moving upwards of about 350 ft. lbs. of torque and 320hp. It's still 3700 lbs. though. So...you do the math on that one.

The only way an S4 is getting close to my 7 is with about $10K worth of turbo upgrades, a chip, and the works (basically all that's already been done to the 7). And...it still weighs almost 2 tons.

S4s ARE very quick though. And the AWD helps gobs off the line.

now all you need is a front mount intercooler and to ditch those stock mazda "toilet bowl" symbols and get some Efini ones.

The Efini symbols, I agree with.

A FMIC. No way. I live in holy hell in the summer (read: April through October). I can't yield the airflow to the A/C condenser.

That, and for my street/autoX apps., the GReddy SMIC is more than sufficient.

Hmm...Efini...

Your 7 looks really nice. I love that paint and the front end setup. What oil coolers are those? My dad works for DuPont and I tried to talk him into getting me setup with a free paint job for my FD at one of their training/testing facilities, but he didn't go for it. Anyway, very smooth, man.

Crooked Willow dual oil cooler kit.

http://www.crookedwillow.com/

Search here under CWR or CWC and you should get quite a few hits.

They drastically reduce oil temps (make engine happy ).

Man, you should hit your dad up again. I'm very happy with the paint. DuPont does the best job, by far, of getting the right combination that doesn't look half-assed. Over-the-top, maybe, but not cheesy, IMO.
