Fuel leak
Hi all,
I am new here and just bought a 1995 FD it has been running great, but all of sudden it wont start. I can hear the starter working but it isn't starting I looked under the car and saw fuel dripping near the oil pan. So I jacked it up and got under it and it looks to be coming from the rod on a solenoid next to the oil pan ( think that is the turbo actuator). Is this even possible that fuel would leak from that or is it most likely coming from something just above that actuator? All I had on hand was a small hydralic jack so I couldn't get the best look at everything under there that is just what I noticed. If anyone has any idea what that solenoid next to the oil pan is,if it could possibly leak fuel, or knows what else could be leaking fuel near the oil pan on the right side of the car I would greatly appreciate any help.
many thanks
Aaron

DO NOT START OR DRIVE THE CAR! Fuel leaks are dangerous. Though this concern has been covered in depth, I will save you some searching.
Fuel Most commonly leaks from the pulsation dampener located on the fuel rail. There is alot of work involved in replaceing this piece as it is buried under the UIM and rats nest.
It is also possible a fuel hose could be faulty.
Get the FSM from the sticky located at the top of this section and read it. Use the advanced search button for all your third gen needs.
And again DO NOT drive that car until that leak is fixed
