A few Questions

I brought my car to KDR in Pensylvania on Saturday. There calling me soon and i have to tell them exactly wut i want done. The motor im pretty sure blew so i was goin to go with a street port, and just get the turbos redone. I see alot of you guys talkin about how if you mod the RX7 it can get a little hairy, is that one of the mods that your talkin about? if not what mods are u talkin about? I need this car as an everyday driver back and fourth to school each day which is like a half hour there and a half our back, plus other driving plus i wanna take it to the track once in a while. Isnt it true that theres only one thing that can happen to these motors which is the seals going, or blowin up otherwise theres nothin that can really go majorly wrong. No reciprocating parts, no head gaskets, no nothin. Also do rebuilt motors take you a long way in mileage or just as much as stock?- or less than stock. I plan to treat it well like change the oil all the time and stuff like that considering the previous owner of the car i dont think did. I mean it only has 67k on it. Im hopin i can have it for along time with normal abuse and well maintained and take it past 67k. Thanks
John

Read through the stickies with particular attention to reliability mods. IMO, if you need it as a DD, keep it as stock as possible as far as performance mods, be almost **** regarding maintenance and don't drive it like you stole it. I've heard good things about KDR, but the car is still over 10 years old. Keep that in mind. Good luck.

Oh, and living in NJ, you might want to look for a winter beater. FDs don't do snow real well.

i use mine everyday and its a single with a lot of mods and i drive mine like i stole it everywhere i go and it breaks eveytime i drive it. i spend more time and money fixing it than i make working. take it for what you will but the only thing that saves me is i am somewhat mechanically clined and can patch things up, at least wnough to last until i can have someone really fix it. be careful with this car i'm not trying to scare you the car is a blast to drive thats why i cant keep off the throttle but the more you abuse her the more she bitches at you thats the way it works.
