FDs selling w/o a battery tie down has become an epidemic

Not sure how this opinion will go down, but my old man told me when I first went looking at cars check the tyres, not necessarily that they are brand new, just that they arent past the legal limit and they are all the same brand, it doesn't mean odd tyres are bad just that the owner hasn't been to worried about spending money on maintaining the car. I understand wear rate can be different buts just one of those spot checks I always consider.
If your not arsed about tyres your probably not worried about oil change...

I'm damn sure not going to be a criminal for something I can buy for a couple bucks.

Always makes me shake my head when I see a high performance sports car like an FD with old tires, cheap poor quality tires, thin tires, and/or mismatched tires.
Cmon guys, it's not a civic

This applies a lot of cars that owners work on. For whatever reason people believe that once they own it they are suddenly qualified to work on it.
I see it on this, and other forums regularly. People asking questions about how to fix this or that and clearly they don't have a clue. I'm often left wondering, how hacked up their car will end up?

Trend was this all these fast and furious icon cars were modified to heck. Now FDs are becoming a classic, people need to seriously realize they are mutilating an endangered species. Problem is that if this was 100K+ Porsche people will think twice before doing stupid and distasteful mods or maybe those people buy Porsches are just different people.
Mine will stay stock except for reliability mods and reversible mods like tires and wheels.
It just hurts me to see people doing crazy **** to the FDs. IMHO FDs are just near darn perfect from the factory as far as the look goes.

If you are stuck without any tools at least you have ONE!
(only bad thing though is a pure invitation to take the battery..haha!)

I have seen shops selling them without parts. I bought mine rebuilt from a shop active here on the forum and it didn't have a battery tie down, a hood prop, an under tray and was missing a peep hole cover on the transmission..etc I replaced all that stuff myself.
