what are the metal "loops" on the rear strut bar for?



could i use them for a harness?

are they strong enough?

for the cover that goes over the "trunk". It clips in and two strings loop over the post on your hatch.

DO NOT attach a harness to them. They are only held in by screws.

thanx didnt even remember the cover. would the strut bar itself be strong enough?

No, it is not.

Try grabbing onto it an pulling.

You will probably not consider it strong enough for a harness bar.

if it is indeed not strong enough to be used for harnesses, do i have any other options that doesnt include cutting the plastic on the b pillar or having a roll cage installed? i do have rear seats, are the rear seat belt mounts strong enough for a harness bar?

I have a great idea.....why not buy and install a proper harness bar ?

Search for the axiom bar, I have it and it's ridiculously sturdy.
