FD3S Power FC on a FC3S?

So I've found a bit of information on whether or not the Power FC will work from a FD3S on a FC3S. I think Banzai makes a conversion kit and it will need to be tuned (regardless it's going to be b/c single turbo conversion.) Anyone else have any comments or suggestions on how it could be made to work?

Either find the original AP Engineering Power FC made for the Series V FC3S.

or the Banzai conversion harness, the AP Unit fetches for around $1500 and is very hard to find.

the price of a FD3S Power FC with Commander and harness will be a bit cheaper.

But I would also get a brand new wiring harness also, Most FC 13BT harness are falling apart

and you'll run into a headaches with electrical issues and shorts. Datalogging is a must so

you'll have to purchase a dataloggit. In all for the price, if you want to spend it, it will work

and have great street driveability with the PFC Unit. But it all depends if you think its worth it.

You can buy any Power FC for any car as long as the OBD matches so the fc is OBD 1 i beleive so a toyota power fc will plug right into it. The only difference when you buy them model specific is the pre tune for the car so it can make it to the dyno.

Ok that makes sense. Well the 13bt has a new harness in it so I don't think that'll be a problem. Thanks!

Do you have a PFC? This statement is totally false.

This is 100% wrong. All PFCs are model specific.

FD PFC's will work on FC's. There are minor nuances between the two programs that are negligible. I personally know of two people using this setup, one who is an FC/FD tuner.
