Hi guys,

I bought a brand new usdm engine wiring harness to install on my 1993 jdm FD3S.
I thought the only mods I would need to do was add lenght to some wires, but it appears that a couple connectors are simply not the same!!!

Precisely, the connectors inside the car, other than those for the ECU, are different.
My 93 jdm harness had a white and blue connector and the usdm one has a white and black connector instead with different size and number of "pins"...

I'm completly lost....

If you've already dealed with going from a jdm engine harness to a usdm one, let me know how you did it please.

 

Did you ever get an answer to this. I have bought a JDM FD3S and need to know whats different with the USDM

 

JDM has emissions stuff removed and no cat in the dp. The rest of the stuff is pretty much the same.

 

Pin-out of connectors is different also

 

Connector pinout, length of wires, etc is different. Get the correct harness for your car. Its not worth the time to make it work. I recommend having a custom harness build by LMS-EFI over the factory harness.

 

90% of pin out is the same,.except for few emission related stuff, left and right hand drive
