FD3S Cluster Ground Wire? Erratic Tach, etc... help!

hey all... ok, decided to bypass the key for now, but have another problem now... when the car is running, the entire gauge cluster is dead, all needles sitting idle (this is a new prob, never seen before), but when you grip and turn the steering wheel, they all start working, and stop again the minute you let go of the wheel! augh! i know this sounds like a grounding problem, (a new problem!) but can anyone point me towards where to start looking for the wire in question, and where should it be attached for ground? don't want to have to trace through a big bundle of wires if someone can clarify what i should be looking for... thanks in advance all!
