FD Wiring harness questions

Does anyone have a diagram for the wiring harness?

Also, I've got some questions. When I bought the car a lot of the wiring was weird so I've decided to take out the wiring harness and make sure everything is done right. Thing is I'm having a hard time pulling the wiring harness out of the firewall. It seems like there's a rubber wrapped around the harness making the thing stuck, so I can't pull it out. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get it pulled out?

Also, Is there a wire from the wiring harness that goes down near where the transmission is and then back? I seem to have a wire down there. Where is it attached to? I want to pull it out so I can get the whole entire wiring harness out of the engine bay.

Wiring diagram can be downloaded here:

The wire near the transmission might be for the vehicle speed sensor.

I found the best way...get inside the car with a light, dont use a sharp screwdriver, but something long that will push it through and just push around the edge of the hole. It has a lip that seals it so it's not gonna be easy.

And as far as the wiring to the tranny, those are backup sensors and a couple of various other things. They're actually REALLY easy to get to and unplug once you jack the car up.

Ok, so in other words I'm actually loosening the wiring harness from the seal?

No, that rubber boot shouldn't move from the harness, just push it out, the whole harness will come out with it

Ok, so that means I'm pushing the the wiring harness right?

I guess that means I need to move the seats so I can see well enough.

Dont push on the wires with anything other then fingers because you dont want to risk breaking or cutting one. Basically, the rubber boot is bigger than the whole so it seals.

And you dont have to remove the seat, just push it all the way back, throw a pillow on the running board cause it's a pain in the *** on the back. (You'll be down there at least 5-10 mins fighting with it)

Yup, the rubber boot comes out with the harness. Alternate between pushing from inside and pulling from the engine bay. As someone mentioned before it can help to have a tool to help push the rubber 'grommet' from the inside, I used a long 1/4" extension... a blunt srewdriver would probably work as well. Just be careful not to slip and damage anything.
