I really do like the stock wheels. They're light and the tires are less expensive in the 16" size. However if you're going to run R compounds on stock wheel I highly suggest making sure they're on the later reinforced model wheel as the early model has been known to shatter under high loads and fail in a spectacular fashion.

Yes, this was a time trial event. I run the Advanced Design double adjustable shocks with the RSR race springs (440 front, 390 rear). You're correct that R compounds are great but the rules for street class in this competition requires treadware 140 or higher rated tires. As far as spoilers go I've never used one so I don't know how much one might help. Most of the track days I do are at road coarses where I don't exceed 125mph. I did do one day at California Speedway where I was doing over 150mph and yes, I think a spoiler would have helped. However, I prefer not to go that fast anyway. The guy with the tape on his RX8 had driven it down for a car show so he wanted to make sure it stayed bug free on the drive..

I don't know at this point....car will be tuned in mid-Dec by Mr. Kan....I have a lot of other work to do with the car too...at this point, March would be an optimistic estimate.

I have not had any fade since I installed them. If it did it again I'd try ducting BEFORE going to bigger brakes. Good ducting makes a HUGE difference at the track.
