I tried to talk to him when we first pulled up at the light....but no luck...had to humble him first.....

I'd hold off on the dp till you got an upgraded ECU w/boost controller, some people get boost spikes from the dp

You can get intake and exhaust before the ECU but any more than that and you should get the ECU.

I think stock for stock, the Supra is a hair faster. And for how much they weigh, they handle amazingly well. It may not "feel" like the RX-7 but it does corner.

Its kinda werid...stock/stock the Supras faster
slightmods/slightmods the RX-7 is faster
moderatemods/moderatemods the Supra gets fast again
heavymods/heavymods RX-7 gets ahead again...Supras get to the point where all they can do is spin their tires

Great response adamlewis, too many people think that just because this is an RX-7 forum everyone here will agree that the RX-7 cannot be touched. IMO the RX-7 and the Supra are so close in performance, etc that the driver is the main factor in a race between the 2 cars with like mods. Thats the main reason why RX-7 and Supra owners have that I hate your car but sure as hell respect it attitude against each other.

Supra TT's run mid 13's in the 1/4, FD's run high 13's, low 14's.

As far as handling goes, ask RX-7 guys and they will tell you the FD handles better, ask the Supra guys and they will say the Supra handles better. Ask me and I'll tell you the truth, and the truth is, the FD handles better.

Although, the Supra does respond to mod's a tad better than the FD does.

Cool

Drageur,

Welcome aboard.

I forgot to mention to you that this board really hates Honda. So please try to keep the "dumb" questions to a minume.

And if you do a "search" you'll find a lot of topics regarding this type of comparison.

Later,
