FD Un installing power steering rack advise??

Hey all. Been racking my brain around how to remove the PSR without dropping the subframe. Has anyone has succeeded in doing this? I looked up videos and researched on this forum but I'm coming up dry....

Any direction would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!!

It's really not that bad, that's probably why it isn't documented. Remove the belly pan and you should have good access to everything underneath the car. May have to pull the battery and tray for access to the lines.

So it appears that the subframe has to be lowered to remove the steering rack. Does anyone know if supporting the transmission towards the front, would support the motor also? Other than that I don't see removing the steering rack.

Just did this. It's a lot of wiggling random things. There's no single way about it but I did completely unbolt the subframe, jacked up the engine/trans via the bellhousing, and lower the subframe about 3 or so inches. It barely gives you enough room.

Thanks. I already dropped the sub frame completely because I'm ending up having to change the suspension bushings. I ended up buying this support to hold of the motor.
