Here is what you need to know,
1. what is your goal {power,reliability vs -
2. what parts are going to get you there and at what cost.
3. nothing like a sequential running smoothly.
4. nonsequential 10 hp more and motor breaker unless you do it right.
5. BNR are top twins but cost money.
6. you will need a complete set-up for single turbo not just turbo.
7. does the mechanic know what he is doing.

Do a search on BNR, you will find a lot to read. In fact if you're serious about keeping this car you will need to read and become familiar with everything anyway.

I spent about a year reading everything I could get my hands on until I was comfortable doing things myself. I didn't have an automotive background but had worked on aircraft for about 7 years.

If money is an issue you'll need to learn how to do it yourself anyway.

The main advantages going with the BNR's are cost and direct swap with your current oem turbos. The BNR's are cheaper (and better) than any other set of sequential turbos you could purchase. In addition, assuming you have a good tune now, you won't need to retune or worry about popping your engine.

The BNR's really start to shine at higher boost levels, but you've got a lot to learn before you start upping the boost and installing supporting mods. Right now they'll be fine at stock boost levels.

So you get a better set of turbos that you can grow into, for less money.

The challenge though will be learning the sequential system and all of the vac hoses, solenoids and actuators that support it to make them work properly.

You can still drive the car until you can get enough money to buy them, you'll just have an NA FD

lol ya iv been "na" for 2 years. but ill be working with my dad this summer so money wont be a problem then. i plan on doing all this myself once i buy everything. i was just wondering wat other supporting mods i needed so i dont blow my engine. i know im gunna need to retune my car for sure though. thanks for the help

You don't really need any supporting mods to run at stock boost levels, although you may want to upgrade your fuel pump to one of the denso "supra" pumps.

I'd also refresh the fuel system hoses/orings and get your injectors cleaned and flowtested. Read the FAQ on reliability mods and do all of those before you worry about upping the hp.

alright so i was reading around the forms and it looks like some people went 850cc primary and 1600cc secondary injectors. if i wanted to run the bnr twins would those be a good set up? along with the supra tt fuel pump?

as far as power i wanna hit 400. id wanna go sequential and as far as boost i dont want a ridiculous amount. stock is 8psi right? i was thinking somewhere around 10 to 12? is it possible to get 400 with 10 to 12 psi?

400 rwhp at 12 psi on BNRs?

Looks like you've really done a lot of research, im glad you followed my advice

Search my username, and 'threads started by' and BNRs. There is TONS of info dating as far back as 2002.
