With the 4.1 axle ratio, for me driving on the street, especially the amount of clutch slip required to just roll out from a red light would be a headache, especially with a clutch that needs to hold big power, the chatter alone would probably crack the egg shell interior plastic.
Boost by gear, tire and some traction control will help any "unusable" gear on track surface, unprepped runway for sure.
Again, for what I want to do, the CD009 is perfect.
i corrected the gear ratio and shift limit for your T56 on this graph.
"with a clutch that needs to hold big power, the chatter alone would probably crack the egg shell interior plastic."
egg shell plastic fantastic interior it is...
as to a slightly longer, more fun, first gear, the Mcleod RST double disc is an answer.
able to hold 800 hp in a 3860 pound (woof) mustang or camaro or a 4400 pound (woof woof) Hellcat yet have take up as good as the stock FD clutch. organic lining. way better than my old Exedy double disc as to pedal effort, take up and torque capacity.

Link below for an article on the McCleod twin-disc clutch you mentioned. Apparently they can do the Mazda input spline for the clutch disc centers and likely others too …
