IIRC, I've heard of cases where the turbo-timer itself is to blame...

i had this exact problem! Its the Relays for your wiring. Mine got cooked, so it kept sending the singnal out that the car was still on!! I disconeted the turbo timer, and everything. only way to shut the car off was to stall it. And even then the fans would still run, so i had to disconect the battery. i bet thats your problem. I had this problem to a "T" like you are.

I added an IC fan and wired it to the ignition circuit. When I turned the car off it took 5-10 seconds to actually turn off. Strange I thought so as any good troubleshooter I un-did what I did last, I disconnected the IC fan and the car turned off as normal. Seems the rotation of the fan backfeed enought voltage to keep the ignition circuit alive till the fan coasted to a stop. I added a blocking diode to the IC fan to prevent feedback and all is well now. Just thought I'd share.

yea the fan acted as a slave. But check the relays, there on the right side or left side of the engine. Bolted onto the panel. It should be straight down from the bots on the struts. I bet there all melted, and thats your problem.

ok..Im not sure what the relays look like but according to RX72Heaven's descriptions, on the front corner of the passenger side of the engine bay, theres cables and wires with square plastic caps on them attached to a flat metal piece. the wires have connectors that look oily and dirty. is this enuf to cause my problem?
