FD Seat Length

I'm interested in buying an FD. At Rotorfest, I sat in my friend's 93 Montego FD, pushed the seat all the way back and I was pretty surprised at the lack of leg room. I think headroom might have been a bit tight as well. I'm 6'0"-6'1" with a 34" inseam. The steering wheel was well past my knees and if felt a lot more cramped compared to my FC. I know, with the stock seats, I can't possibly heel-toe quickly, so even with its great suspension geometry, I'm going to lose time on the track braking and shifting. I was wondering if there was a way to create more seat room for myself?

You can try the extra-low seat rails I've seen on eBay, although I haven't heard from anyone who's actually bought and used them.

Also, aftermarket seats will lower your butt some.

It can also help to get a steering wheel spacer and a smaller steering wheel, if your racing class permits it.
