I'm 20 now. I got my FD when I was 19. And yes I paid for it myself. It's been very reliable, even as my daily driver for awhile. I have no complaints.

19 going on 20 in 10 days. Got my FD 3 weeks ago. Currently in the shop getting its coolant seals looked at to see if they are gone (1900 miles on rebuild).

Sold my truck and used money saved up to make downpayment, and am paying a loan for the next 4yrs + insurance.

27 here. I wonder what percentage of these teens "claim" they purchased their car when it was actually "purchased" for them? Paying for gas does not mean anything either
Also, people are in debt because of their cars? Are you guys dumb or stupid? Drive a bucket until you could afford one. Paying interest is a waste!!!

20. Bought my car @ 17 for 5k. Made a few repairs mechanically. I'm a full time college student that works 7 days a week. Nobody but me pays for this car.

I'm 92 years old, and I live with my parents. They pay for everything. If I am bad, they take away the keys, and I don't get any supper. Last week I even got grounded because I wouldn't take my little brother (90) to the movies.

Will your mom go out with me?

Damn, Guess I'm a young punk. I turned 19 two weeks ago. Too be honest, Most of the people my age with fast cars are horrible drivers. People are right to sterio-type us. I'v been racing in sanctioned events for a couple years now so I feel that I'm a capable driver. But other people my age would most likely crash my car in a day or two after buying it.

Wish I didn't have to pay for everything, but I do. It'd be awesome if my parents would help me out. But they won't.It's gonna be rough when I quit my 100/k a year job in sept. to go to college. But, I hope to never have to sell the fd.

57 I personally prefer 'old fart'. Bought the car in 93 and that would have made me uhh, gosh you young whippersnappers do the math. Only in last three years have I able to spend any money on it. Divorce just eats away at the old income. I was able to hold on to the car.

Car is at Rotorsports Racing now for upgraded fuel system, SMIC, PFC and Commander. Been there too long so am anxious to get it back. Previously they did a stage 1 rebuild, DP, and RB Catback. They said I should be 300 - 330 at the wheel now. Fast enough for me.

Your 19 and make 100k a year and are upset that your parents don't help you out. Your parents should be upset that YOU don't help them out.
