No one has ever really found a way to run the OMP without a stock ECU or a PowerFC (the only standalone that controls the OMP as far as I know).

It would be difficult, but it could be possible to run a S4 mechanical oil metering pump.

Sorry for the stupid question but I had assumed that an ECU such as the Pettit also controlled the OMP?

Yes. It's basically a modified stock ECU and will still run the OMP.... and put you into limp mode if the OMP fails.

Thanks Jim. That is what I thought, but if I end up getting one I'd hate to make a costly mistake simply because I ***-u-me'd something.

The AEM controls the OMP too, although there's not nearly the same knowledge base for the EMS compared to the PFC. I measured the OMP sensor voltage with the stock ECU and had to make some adjustments to my calibration to tell the EMS to match what the stock ECU was doing.
