FD OEM Fuel Filter flow?

I was looking around through the forum and couldn't find anything specific to this. I want to know if there's a fuel flow limit through the OEM fuel filter, or if there would be problems using the OEM fuel filter with a high flow pump (ex. 520lph Walbro Hellcat fuel pump). I'm not wanting to run it like this, but I'm stuck waiting on a bracket kit from Turbosource that's been on back order forever for my aftermarket fuel filter. I just got my car running with a fully rebuilt engine, and I'm able to drive it while I'm breaking it in, but I'd like to be able to install my Walbro fuel pump so it can at least handle my EFR IWG 8374 on wastegate pressure after I've finished the break in period.

Welcome to the forum!

I don't know if someone has found an upper limit where it becomes a restriction that will drop fuel pressure. I do know that some modern injectors require a higher micron filter count or they can clog up, they are lots more sensitive that the older injectors. There are some solutions for higher micron/finer filters out there.

Thanks! Well, I swapped the fuel pump a few days ago so fingers crossed. But so far no issues. I'm still barely at the end of my engine break in miles so I'm still only pushing it around 5psi at 3-4k rpms. Fuel pressure looks great though, and haven't had any issues with leaning out, other than I'm currently working on fixing the Transient throttle correction settings in Adaptronic since I get that lean to rich fluctuation on initial throttle press. But I will start slowly working my way through the map after I get that sorted out.
