FD newbie with some issues...Grrrrrr
Ok so I have a new ( well not really new ) 93 R1...
I have electrical issues out the wazoo and other mechanical issues... Ironically the car runs like butter...
Ok so here goes...
Gauge cluster lights - out
Cig lighter - out
Tach - bouncing
Passenger Window not working (most likely motor)
Key wont open trunk...Any idead on the electrical stuff would be much appreciated. Laterz!
I've been doing some research but as I am new to FD's i'm not sure exactly how to go about troubleshooting. If anyone can point me in the right direction i'd appreciate it.

cluster lights out is probably related to cig lighter out. Check the fuse box on the drivers side floor, under the dash.
Tach bouncing is a common issue, send it to FDNewbie for repair or buy a new one for $600.
Passenger window not working is a common newb error. There is a switch on the drivers side door panel, just under the window switches that says "On/Off". That switch controls power to the passenger side window. Before you assume electrical issue, make sure that switch is set to "on". Almost everyone has made that mistake, myself included.
Key won't open the trunk is probably a lock cylinder issue. Mine doesn't work either, but it's more trouble than it's worth to remove the lock from the hatch to have it repaired.

Thanks for the input but no these issues seem to be beyond simple fuses...I've checked fuses on the inside of the car and they are all intact. As for the window switch...no thats not it either.

If the drivers side window switch works for the passenger side then it's likely a bad passenger switch and if it doesn't work then it's likely the window actuator/motor. If you need the switch or the actuator send me a pm and i'll give you a good price on either or both.
Thanx for the heads up on the stickies...gonna dive in today. Ill post some pics of the car when I get a chance too. Later all. Thanx for helping with the transition from 10AE to R1...lol
