FD Newbie dual oil cooler install sneak peak
Sorry I don't have better photos but this is the 19row dual oil cooler kit put together by Scrub and I think the folks at FD Newbie. The kit itself is very nice and all the brackets, hardware are all included and I actually used everything single nut/bolt! Nothing left over...that's a first! haha...
ok, some pics...
ducting the radiator. the stock undertray is actually very well designed and I think with the aluminum piece to trap the air in, most of the air should flow directly to the radiator.
I have some CF scrap and I am using it to duct and force as much air as I can to the radiator and oil coolers
I will post the finished pictures soon but everything looks great, especially the cf piece peaking through the Feed bumper

They look nice, but let me point out two things to think about. Protecting that crossover hose with a sacrificial OD hose to prevent vibration erosion and the squeeze clamps. I never have liked those type of clamps, I prefer a good Baker Precision style hose clamp. The cons far out weigh the pros here - if that clamp fails and the hose comes off at highway speeds or WOT - then you have an immediate problem. Apart from that, do they have a thermostat ?

Luke,
I wanna see some pics with the bumper on!! BTW, you should have two identical sets of spacers on the cooler brackets. Check the pics I sent you.
We are still working on getting the post together for the GB. Wanted to make sure we had detailed pictures of all the kits before posting. It should be up in the next few days.
The kit is actually made by Cabaynes, RotorMotor and me (SakeBomb Garage) and sold through FDNewbie.

The hoses look like the twist-on type. If so, they are not to be used with any kind of clamp on the outside as the clamp will cause damage to the inner resilient liner.
I spent over $200 on these hoses and ended up throwing them away because they kept popping off (twice). Ended up having professionally made crimp type rated at 2000 psi hydraulic type lines made.

Sorry if I'm thread jacking Luke. The coolers looks GREAT behind the bumper
Shoot me a PM, I can get them for you
Fittings are Mocal. I have no experience with "speedflow", so I can not compare them. Mocal fittings are excellent, we didn't skimp in the quality department on our kits.
These hoses are designed to be used in the fashion that they are. We have already sold a lot of race kits with the lines put together EXACTLY like that. I have had in depth conversations with our supplier (who specializes in plumbing and hoses) about the use of this hose. 2000psi hydraulic line is simply unnecessary for our cars, since oil pressure does not exceed 120psi for extended periods of time. The line is rated at 250psi operating pressure. As stated above, stainless lines are an option on on our kit (1000 psi operating pressure max)

Oetiker clamps hold very well from what I have seen in non-automotive applications.
But it is true that some braided or even kevlar hose is a drop of water in the bucket when looking at the overall picture.
