Those twin turbo supras are rather rare. After my first FD died in a fire, I actually got a chance to test drive one back in day (1998). Nice car but it just didn't compare to the FD. In fact, no other car I drove compared so I ended up getting another . I get the feeling that is why we get so many old members coming back. They sell their FDs only to end up purchasing another one.

Not surprised. For years I've been saying that these cars will be comparable to what muscle cars became.

That list should have a few more cars. The 300zx twin turbo, mitsubishi 3000gt vr4, hell even the ae86 hatch is even becoming more hard to find.

They are hard to find, but then again, so is a Ford Pinto. That isn't to say that they are bad cars, but in my opinion, none of those you listed strike me as special either.

i think the 300zx TT and 3000gt VR-4 deserve spots.

the 300zx was the last good affordable nissan sports car (the 350 and 370 dont compare IMO). Much like the FD Rx7. The more recent option (rx8) just isnt the same.

the 3000gt VR-4 had alot of cool stuff like active aero, all wheel steering, all wheel drive.

Hey! Who are you calling old!?
Yep I am back after being away for last 6 years without an FD. This time back without a rotor motor though. The chassis is undeniably one of the last pure sports cars and is still a looker with some updates.

I had a 1991 Nissan 300 ZX Twin Turbo - it was a great car, especially on the Interstate, but I traded it in on a new 1994 RX7, which I still own.

I'm a member of this club. Lost my first FD to a crash, couldn't stop comparing every car that I had after this to it. In the end I bought another.

There's a reason that I'm staying close to stock with my car. I plan to maintain the body in stock condition and the motor a few bolt ons away from stock. The car attracts plenty of attention as is. I've been chasing a tram-lining issue with my suspension for a year. I just ripped out the coil overs that the car came with and went back to stock (brand new) R1 suspension. It turns out that there was nothing wrong with the coil overs but I'm glad that I went back. The car is a classic. The more OEM parts, the better.

I had a 300zx TT and even though it was a fun car. It was very numb feeling and a pain in the *** to work on. Even though that shouldn't be something not to consider it, I just think at this time it isn't. It is hard to find a clean Z32TT or any Z32 with a desirable combination of colors.

I wasn't in any way suggesting that those other cars are as great as the fd. I was simply saying that they are going to be the Japanese unicorn cars eventually.

I think they got the list right. I like the fact that aside from the NA Supras there isnt a crappy version of an NSX or FD. For me its hard to get excited about a vr4 or z32tt when you always see ugly *** 2+2 NA z32s and fwd 3000gt turds running around.
