FD for Long Drives

I drove my FD from Northern California To Texas. 23 hour drive. I had my wife and my two small Italian greyhounds aboard. An hour and a half into the drive one of the dogs threw up. I went through the Arizona desert and there was no cooling issues.
The good thing about the FD is it's speed, I did the 23 hour drive in 18

I went from somewhere outside of Dallas to Southern California in about 23 hours. 5 hours the first night and then 18 hours straight the next day. Luckily I had one of my buddies to help me with the driving. I didn't have any problem with the car at all and no problems with overheating. It was January when I did this so we didn't have to use the AC that much.

Mine's been on a few very long trips with the old engine. The new rebuilt engine...we've gone from Nashville -> Atlanta (4 hour ride) and it did just fine. Koyo radiator also helps keep her cool on the interstate. Just recently my dad took the 7 down to Dallas (9-10 hour ride) and he loved it and it did just fine.

When I came back on Sunday I thought I saw your car again headed north on 75, between Atlanta and Chattanooga.
I was was headed home to Snellville.
At the time I was in the GTP, but I did drive my RX7 back from Nashville back in May, after buying the car in Chattanooga from an individual.
So was that you?
i drove 6 hours to myrtle beach from va in my RX7
the ride was fairly comfortable for me a 64 210 gentleman
im assuming your trip is highway,
should be fine lots of air, low rpms, low temps
i dont see any ill effects from this unless your car is already doomed
