FD general parts question...

Sorry if this is something that has been discussed plenty of times, but searching I didn't come up with anything. I haven't been around for awhile, I have an FD that is torn down pretty much ready for a rebuild and some bodywork(got hit by a drunk driver). I'm looking at about next summer starting the rebuild and I just wanna know if as the years go on, if parts are more difficult to find, and are there any parts mazda doesn't make anymore. I actually work at a mazda dealer, been there about 2 months now as a tech and one the parts guy told me that mazda may not making certain things anymore, but I really dont know if thats 100%. I'm just worried about whenever it is I finally start my rebuild, if I'm going to have problems with finding parts when needed

Engine parts and exterior body parts are still available. Expensive, but available.

Interior parts like seats, some interior panels, and other stuff are very expensive, even at cost. A few interior parts are completely unavailable, and the list slowly keeps growing.

If I were you I would shop for good used parts. Keep an eye on the classifieds and buy what you need in advance.

If you work at a Mazda dealer your parts guy can tell you the status of any part you need,ie available, back order or discontinued. You just have to give him/her a list of parts you want checked.
